Just doing life, another ordinary day I decided to tag along with two of my friends to work out at this wonderful park in the northern province of China.

This park was simply stunning! Full of benches, grass, trees, & people, it was quite the place to be. The only bummer was I quickly discovered that the grass all around, was made for looking and not sitting (I was asked to get off after laying down, whoops!)

Anyways, after the work out was finished-I decided to walk around a little bit. As I was walking down the sidewalk, I ran into a worker there that I had met the prior day. Though we could hardly speak a word of each others different language-we still totally connected. Long story short-this small encounter with a new friend led to two new friends (who also didn't speak much English, but we all did know how to play ping pong so that is the WIN!). These two new friends took me to the ping pong tables-what a sight that was! There were probably about 15 ping pong tables at this park with hundreds surrounding to watch people play.

Guys, this was such a joy. I could not help but laugh and smile seeing all these locals playing ping pong, at the same time I was thrilled to be part of the community in that time.

So, I started to play with the locals in a few games of ping pong, and as I did that one gal came up to me & immediately we hit it off! We decided that we should meet again for lunch on Sunday, so that is what we did.

My 6 friends & I at the time, met her and went to lunch together & it just so happened that the staff at the resturant brought us to a private room just for us to eat! This was a really special thing because it provided a wonderful opportunity to freely share-whatever came to our hearts in that time without suspicion arising.

In that time of lunch, we had an opportunity to get to know our new friend better, share our life stories, share the gospel with her privately, share what we have been doing on this journey & even show her what a bible was!

She had a little friend with her! He told us about his grandmother who was a christian too!

In this time of eating lunch with my 6 friends from America and our new Chinese friend, I saw such a cool and beautiful picture of the body of Christ working together-the connection that God provided through meeting her at the ping tables, a friend on the team asking if it was ok to pray for lunch, then explaining why we pray, another friend sharing the gospel, another sharing their personal faith story, another friend had written about beautiful peace of art sharing the gospel message in Chinese, and another friend had a small gift for her. This new friend of ours, was thrilled & said that she was so grateful to meet us, that "she was very lucky". If my friends & I can be a glimpse of love to her, that is what we want & I am so glad she felt honored that day too.

The look in her eyes and excitement about us sharing our beliefs in God was one to never forget. The little boy sitting next to her was precious too.

Overall, it was an amazing day. & I hope to stay connected with Emma through email. She's a gift.

That's all for now, I hope you have a wonderful day today too!

With love,

Kailey
