On the way out of china, we took a day to visit one of the wonders of the world-the Great Wall! 

It was even more fun because this was an adventure day that I will never forget! It was on the fourth of July-& we had a few things that were really on our heart and mind to do in effort to celebrate.

We wanted to tour the Great Wall
We wanted to eat watermelon
We wanted to eat some barbeque
& we wanted to try some icecream

Sure enough, that is what happened throughout the day & it was a blast! We toured the Great Wall (which was SO cool!), we ate some watermelon at a stand nearby, then we got back to our hostel & our manager friend invited us to go and get some "barbeque" & to our learning barbeque meant Lamb Kabobs! It was so delicious oh my gosh!

Better yet a couple people from the hostel came & met us at the barbeque spot. The conversations that happened were really cool. & we were able to share some of our faith stories & encourage them in their individual faith journeys too. 

This was a July 4th, I will never forget!
