Someone please, pinch me! Am I dreaming!?

Nope, this is REAL! & it feels a almost too good to be true. 

An 11 month Journey to 11 different countries. A Journey to serve and grow alongside those living impoverished lives while amongst real and raw community. My guess is that it will naturally facilitate discipleship while discovering abundant life outside of the conventional living I have been immersed in just about my entire life. The world race journey is also about birthing partnerships with ministries around the world. WOW, it feels like a DREAM! 

The Route I have chosen to pursue is Austrailia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, China, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Spain, and Morocco. For this journey, I can hardly wait! I believe taking part in such an adventure while striving to be the hands and feet of Jesus throughout the nations, will teach and grow me in more ways than I could ever imagine. My heart beat is to see this world changed and it seems fitting that as I see this world, my very inner being will change as well! My heart's desire is to understand God's heart for this universe, people, and myself in a more tangible way than I have ever experienced before. I believe this time will be a personal journey of growth, deepening of faith, challenges beyond imagination, and learning to live more simply with a larger appreciation for what I do have here and now. I am so excited to journey alongside a team of people from all over the country ages 23-35 and feel that this investment will be foundational to what I pursue in the longer term future! 

Will it make life any easier for me? Probably not. My understanding is that for the majority of 11 months, I will be sleeping under a tent I carry, hiking for miles a day, depending on God for protection and provision in various unknown areas, and carrying day in and day out everything I need. Will I ever be the same after this? Defiantely not. Will I be humbled? Oh my gosh, I can only imagine. Am I longing for the challenge, growth, and incredible opportunity? You betcha :) Whether this be foundational to social services in the future or occupational ministry, or whatever else my heart may lead to, I believe the 11 month investment will be totally worth it!
