Hi there friend!

Back atcha with a new update. Getting from China to Kyrgyzstan and the drive through was breathtaking. Out of all the countries so far, this is the hidden treasure. Looking at the photos above, I think you will see why. Already, I am dreaming of coming back one day!

We are currently located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It is a cozy town, filled with cute houses and good streets to walk about. The 14 hour tight squeeze ride, well, was quite the ride haha!

We anticipated being here in Bishkek only for a few days, but a friend of mine came down with a toothache & that led to the dentist which led to a another dentist appointment which led to another dentist appointment. Though she was not super excited about this, it does seem like a God thing that we are in a City with dental care that is more familiar & looking similar to the American dental care, rather than being in a different country less familiar!

Tonight, we are headed out on an overnight bus ($5 deal for about 12 hours workth of riding, WOW!) to a small village called “At-Bashy” in which we will then travel some more and eventually arrive at a Yurt farm. If you aren’t familiar with what a Yurt is, do a little google search, they are so cool looking!

We will be staying with a Nomadic family for the week-this married couple moves from a small village near At-Bashy in the summer season & spend their time doing farm work, caring for the animals, and living that nomadic lifestyle. I have no doubt’s we will be trying foods we have never ate before (possibly horse meat too!).

We are so excited to spend time with this family and are looking forward to seeing what service opportunities will be available to help out around the pasture & to love on this family. Milking the animals? Cooking? Laundry? Farm work? We will see!

It was also really cool to connect with the son of this Yurt family who initially connected us to them. He happens to live in Bishkek & He has been so helpful in the logistics aspect of getting there. We hope to connect with him more, upon return to Bishkek-he is so awesome! Also, this Yurt seems to be literally in the middle of no where-I think we are about to get the real nomadic life experience-tenting on the valley side of a mountain, surrounded by animals, wild life, pastures, & most definately some new experiences.

For the next 5 days, I will be off the wifi, in fact I heard there is only a small patch of service in the middle of the pasture where we will be going. I think it’s going to be great & really refreshing. But if I am MIA, that is why.

Looking ahead, we will come back to Bishkek after the 22nd of July, mainly to get my friend back to the dentist then rest a little before our next big travel day to Kazakstan. In Kazakstan, we will be partnered with a local ministry organization & look forward to serving along side them too. We do not have a ton of details on what exactly that will look like, but surely another update will come soon.

Thanks for staying tuned, I can hardly wait to share with you what the Yurt experience was like!

You are awesome, you are created to be a world changer, you are a world changer!

With love,
Kailey

P.S. I am only about $300 away from my official financial goal. WOW! Thank you for all your support!
