Hey there!

What a whirlwind of these past two weeks. My goodness.

I hope this email finds you well. Just a heads up before I get into this update, I want you to know that I will be sending out one extra blog this week (or more so just catching up on my weekly blogging hehe). The next blog you receive will help sum up the end of the race for me personally; but before that, it’s on my heart to share with you a glimpse of my team & I’s ministry time from about a week ago.

My dear friend Alyssa created a beautiful video regarding a Miracle we experienced & wanted to share in the hopes this would bring encouragement & joy into your life today, too.

Basically, we had this opportunity to love on and get to know our literal neighbors. For our last couple weeks in Morocco before a final debrief time, we stayed in an apartment complex & through a series of events–ended up spending most our time with a family next door. It was awesome.

We had dinners together, we shared gifts with each other, we celebrated birthdays together, we had a dance party on the beach together, we had deep conversations together, we walked around the city together, we worshiped together, we sang happy songs together, we affirmed each other, we prayed together, we did community together, & we made lasting friendships forever, together.

We had opportunities to speak life into this family & do our very best to bring the Hope of Jesus Christ into their lives during difficult times. The father of the house has been diagnosed with ALC & one morning many months ago, woke up just about paralyzed from the hips down. After having an opportunity to pray for this man, he was able to move his feet & legs, more so than he had been able to in an entire year. He was able to dance with his daughters a bit & it brought so much joy & tears to the room. We were undone. & I was so so honored & humbled to be a part of this move of God.

Please take a watch above to get a bigger glimpse.

From this these couple weeks in Morocco, I was reminded of something. You never know what God may have in store- He makes beautiful things happen, He really does.

I just want to keep saying yes to God, & going for it. & i hope for my “Yes” to become braver & bolder to step out & take risks to help share His love to others. He is so worthy of my praises!

Luke 5:18-25 Says:

18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God.

May our eyes continue to see the miraculous on a regular basis, may we grow in love through our words, actions, and deeds. & May this broken, but beautiful world, experience the tangible love of the creator of this universe, the lover of our souls. & may we grow into the likeness of Jesus Christ with a whole hearted pursuit of the one who is worth it all.

Much love to you friend & chat with you soon (& for some of you in person too!! YAY!).

With gratitude,

Kailey

P.S. For all you, Youtubers or videographers, I encourage you to maybe even subscribe to Alyssa’s channel (the gal who created the video above)…you’ll be inspired no doubt. She is going to do some great things with her gifting in that area. & the coolest part is…she does it all for the Glory of our Good, Good, Heavenly, Father. What the what?! So cool!
