Wow! What a week it has been!

From prayer nights, to Moroccan hospitality, to worship, to new friendships, to encouraging our hosts, to hearing radical stories, to meeting new believers, to faith discussions with new friends, to playing soccer on the beach, to celebrating 2 of my friends birthdays (& getting creative with our small budget)…it’s been a blast!

This week I have spent intentional time with new neighbor friends, in which we have laughed, chatted, ate, sang, and worshiped together often.

On Sunday we has Church with our hosts… which was a house church with one other person! It was such a unique experience. Together, we had dinner afterwards & our hosts would not let us take a break from eating! We were totally STUFFED! But it was delicious. Have you tried traditional Moroccan Tea? It’s got mint leaves & a whole lotta sugar. Super yummy, I reccomend!

Quite a bit of the past week has been coffee shop conversations with new friends made in the area-with a faith inspired focus. It’s been really cool hearing each other’s stories, challenging one another, and having the opportunity to sharing glimpses of gospel with Moroccan locals through daily conversations and building of friendships.

This year, more than ever has challenged me to engage in gospel centered conversations as a lifestyle. For it to just be the overflow of what comes out of my mouth. & though challenging and tiring at times, it’s been so good & awakening to me…too see countless people who haven’t heard of the Simple gospel, hear it, then be blown away by it too. Gosh-it’s just too good!

It’s crazy how impactful a couple hours at a coffee shop with great conversation can be. I absolutely love getting to the heart of people & really connecting, understanding, and sharing with each other. Such a beautiful thing it is!

On top of some great coffee table conversations with the locals, this culture, country, these people, are oh so hospitable! Several times already, we have had Moroccan neighbors deliver us traditional Moroccan food to our doorstep-sheer surprise to us, regular customs to them! What does this mean for us? Time to cook & give a meal right back! This past week we pulled some $ together & cooked pasta and meatballs for a neighboring family. That was fun!

Coming up soon, I will be headed to the final city destination in Morocco before most people head to the states. I will be heading to this city to help prepare for our final “Debrief” event of the year. Here we will pray together, worship together, & celebrate as as squad. Our coaches & mentor will be there too. Then after about 5 days… we will depart and go our separate ways! (Well most of us will be flying back to the states together, then split.) What a wild time my friend, what a wild time.

So much love coming your way. For those of you who are in the states…I can hardly wait to catch up with you in person!

Much love to you,

Kailey
