Time did not permit about a month ago to share about my mount Everest experience-but here I am now, excited to share with you what that was like. It was glorious. It truly took my breath away!

For starters-I’ll share about how my friends & I were able to make this happen.

We woke up @ 4:45 am to catch a car ride to the airport at about 5:30 am. The drive was nice, only about a 20 minute ride. The driver was super kind and friendly.

Upon arrival to the airport we navigated our way through the lines & came to find out there was a slight delay due to the cloud covering of the mountains in that time.

So, we waited about an hour & to all 5 of our’s excitement, hopped on the plane.

This plane ride was a total of about an hour’s worth flight. Every passenger had a window seat & the flight attendant would point out each mountain peak to us as we passed by.

The feeling inside the plane was surreal. It was filled with an incredible peace & silence, honestly as if we had entered into a new world or something.

I sat there in my seat, looking outside the window thinking to myself, “How did I get here? But thank you Lord.”

For about 35 minutes straight-we flew in almost silence, in awe of the mountain tops, the clouds, the snow that covered.

When we approached Mt. Everest-there was another shot of excitement and adrenaline that went through my veins! It was taller than any other mountain & I could hardly believe my eyes. It was stunning! & in that same moment, I felt something in my spirit speaking to me about creation being a gift to us, humans. I elaborated a bit more on that below:

“There is a Heavenly Abba & His creations are stunning. Yet, these creations were given to humanity as an inheritance. A gift.” What the what. I look at this mountain, speechless of its beauty-yet Abba says, “I made you in my image-my thoughts for you & my adoration for you are more numerous than the grains of sand of the earth. You are fearfully & wonderfully made, child, do not forget that. Yo are my masterpiece, above all”

I pray you feel that adoration from the Heavenly Father today. & may we as sons & daughters also represent glimpses of heaven around the world-through the way we talk, walk, & love.

In all this time that morning going to see Mount Everest, I was able to share with an elderly man about the love of Jesus, pray that his deaf ears would be healed, & make a really special memory with some cherished friends. A day I will never forget! Next on the bucket list…Mt. Everest Base Camp?! Hmmm. They say to dream big right?
